Thank you 2024, welcome 2025

2024 AHEC Wrapped: A Year of Growth, Impact, and Community

It’s our 2024 AHEC Wrapped! As we look back on 2024, it’s clear that Advanced Health Education Center has experienced growth and success in our mission to provide accessible and high-quality education in the imaging sciences. We take pride in being a part of the radiology community and helping healthcare professionals enhance their skills, knowledge, and careers. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from a remarkable year.

AHEC’s Educational Impact

AHEC is proud to have authored over 40 blogs in 2024, with more than 30,000 views in 17 countries. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute valuable insights into the latest trends, techniques, and updates in the imaging sciences.

Alongside our digital content, we’ve provided over 13,500 hours of educational activities in 2024, helping radiologic technologists stay informed and excel in their careers. Our commitment to making education accessible, affordable, and relevant to the needs of healthcare professionals remains at the core of everything we do.

2024 Spectrum Awards

For the second consecutive year, AHEC has proudly received the Spectrum Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction! This recognition is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our team to serve our customers and ensure they have access to the best continuing education available. We’re especially thrilled to celebrate MEDRelief Staffing’s achievement, earning this prestigious award for the 10th year in a row in the same category. This achievement highlights the long-standing commitment of our staffing division to deliver outstanding service to healthcare professionals.

The GROW Fellowship Program – Growing Opportunities for Mammographers

It’s been a year since AHEC partnered with the GROW! Mammography Fellowship, an initiative aimed at addressing the nationwide shortage of mammographers. Since the GROW! Fellowship’s inception, we’ve awarded six exceptional Fellowships, providing full tuition, travel expenses, and more to two radiologic technologists—one recent graduate and one seasoned professional—each cohort. The Fellowships offer recipients the opportunity to gain specialized training in mammography, a critical skill in women’s health. We’re thrilled to continue supporting the development of talented professionals in this essential field.

Corporate Responsibility – Giving Back to the Community

We are proud to announce that we met our goal of donating 100 socks to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists’ “Socks for a Cause” campaign. This initiative benefits the Mustard Seed of Central Florida, a non-profit dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness. Our team personally delivered the socks at the ASRT Annual Meeting in Orlando, making it a special moment to see our efforts come to life. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause—your generosity truly made a difference!

In October, AHEC took part in a special initiative to support both veterans and shelter pets through the charity Pets for Patriots. A portion of the proceeds from two of our webinars was donated to this wonderful cause. We didn’t stop there. In December, we supported Susan G. Komen during our “2024 Annual Mammography and Mistletoe Mini Conference” webinar and the Houston Food Bank during our “2024 Annual Radiology and Reindeer Mini Conference.” Thank you for your participation in these events and helping us give back to our communities!

Celebrating Radiologic Technologists in Arkansas

In November, Arkansas Governor officially declared Rad Tech Week in honor of the vital contributions of radiologic technologists in the state. AHEC’s own Senior VP, Kelli Reddix, MBA, BAAS, LVN, joined the celebration alongside Michelle Keck, AHEC Mammography Initial Training Instructor, who proudly accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (ArSRT). This was a proud moment for both AHEC and the radiologic community, recognizing the dedication and hard work of technologists throughout the state.

Peggy Hoosier’s Retirement – A Legacy of Leadership

In October 2024, we celebrated the distinguished career of our Chief Operating Officer, Peggy Hoosier, who announced her retirement after 27 years of service at AHEC. Peggy has been a guiding force in the company’s growth and success, mentoring countless professionals in the imaging sciences and advocating for women’s health. Her leadership, passion for education, and tireless dedication to the AHEC team will leave a lasting legacy. We are incredibly grateful for everything Peggy has done for AHEC and wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

Hurricane Beryl – A Test of Resilience and Team Spirit

When Hurricane Beryl hit in 2024, AHEC’s operations remained uninterrupted due to the dedication and adaptability of our team. One of our employees even ran a webinar remotely during the height of the storm, ensuring our customers didn’t miss out on their continuing education. With power outages affecting many, our headquarters remained operational, and one of our team members brought in a deep freeze from home to preserve everyone’s frozen items. It was a true display of teamwork and resilience, ensuring that our mission to provide exceptional service continued seamlessly.

Conferences and Partnerships – Connecting with the Radiology Community

AHEC had the privilege of attending and supporting several major conferences across the country this year, including LSRT, AEIRS, AHRA, NYSSRS, ArSRT, TxSRT, and more. These events provided invaluable opportunities to connect with radiologic technologists, educators, and leaders in the field. We’re proud to continue forging strong partnerships and collaborating with industry experts to ensure that AHEC remains a trusted resource for continuing education.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we approach the end of 2024, we remain committed to our mission of delivering accessible, affordable, and impactful education to healthcare professionals. We’re excited for what the future holds and look forward to continuing our journey with you in the coming year. Thank you for being a part of our growth and success—here’s to a bright and successful 2025!
